Lisa was the featured Healing Arts Specialist for Good Day Arizona. For 2 years Lisa enjoyed sharing tips and solutions for everyday-healthy living. The only reason Lisa is no longer with Good Day Arizona is because they changed their format. Lisa is still in touch with the producer as well as other 3TV Family producers.

Even with the cooler temperatures Arizona has experienced, it is good to know cooling yoga postures. The truth is...the heat is just around the corner!
Reclined Crescent Moon: Lie on your back. Moving from your waist, walk your legs to the left. Once your legs are as far as they can go (without your hips coming off the floor), move your arms toward the left to create that crescent shape. Relax the shoulders. Breathe.
Restorative Seated Forward Fold: Sit on the floor. Extend your legs in front of you. Remove the flesh from underneathe you in order to feel your sits bones on the floor. Take a fold-up card table chair and place it over your legs. Reach your arms through the chair while resting your forehead to the seat. Stay for a solid 4 to 7 minutes.
Easy Pose: Sit in a comfortable cross legged position. Close your eyes and picture all that is cool: swimming at the beach, an ice-cream cone, cool rain on your face, the top of a snowy mountain...aaaahhhhh.
Thank you to all who have tuned into my segment the last two years.
3TV, Arizona's Family is making some changes to their line up. Good Day Arizona will only be 30 minutes. Therefore, this month is my last segment with them. Please stay in touch. Email your questions and comments to me at lisa@lisasaperbloom.com
Thank you and be well.

My apologies to those who saw the segment live and then came to my website. As you can tell, there was a delay in posting this segment information.
Whether you viewed the segment live or not, anyone can revive in body, mind, energy, and soul with three simple yoga postures.
The first is Legs up the Wall, also known as Waterfall. You begin by scooting your body up and flush to a wall. From there, lie on your back, and extend your legs up the wall. (There is a picture of this in my book, Peaceful Mind, Thinner Body: A Woman's Week-by-Week Guide to Emotional Weight Loss) Once you are there, try to scoot your bottom towards the wall a bit more. Extend your legs as much as you are able, and breathe. Know that this posture relieves fatigued, tired legs, relieves mild back pain, and calms the mind.
The second Restorative Posture I showed was Reclined Butterfly. Begin in a seated position. Draw your heels together in front of you, so the legs create a bound angle, or butterfly wing shape. Gently guide yourself with your palms, elbows, and forearms, down to the floor. Once there, you can prop the legs with pillows, blankets, or blocks. Breathe knowing that you are opening tight hips, you are doing wonders for menstrual cramps (ladies), and you are being challenged. Not only are you being challenenged physically, you are also learning to breathe in a challenging position. Think about the challenging positions of life, and know that you are learning to breathe through them.
The third and final Restorative Posture I showed was Child's Pose. (This posture is also in my book.) Begin on you knees and gently walk your arms out in front of you. Your torso will rest on your legs. Child's Pose is a pose of surrender. It relieves stress, fatigue, and low back pain. It also calms the mind. Ahhh.
You can stay in Restorative Postures for 5-20 minutes. Enjoy...and thanks for watching.
FYI: Clicking on the link will take you to Metta Community Yoga's website. There you will find plenty of opportunity for quality yoga.

Aloe grows abundantly here in Phoenix. There are so many healing benefits, clip some from your yard, and use it to your advantage.
Have you seen a spring training game or gone hiking lately? Is your skin suffering from sunburn? Take some aloe, add a couple of drops of lavender essential oil, and apply to your skin. This will reduce the redness and eliminat the discomfort over night. You may apply several times. Just a word of caution: lavender is very calming and relaxing. Be prepared to relax.
Are you tired of fine lines and wrinkles? Aloe can help reduce them. You can simply apply aloe to your face after washing, or create a mask. Just mix organic, dry oatmeal, with aloe until it becomes a paste. Add three drops of citrus essential oil. Apply to your face. Once the mask hardens, wash with warm water.
Having tummy trouble? One ounce of aloe vera juice or gel every morning can help balance your stomach acids and soothe and move the bowels.
Lily of the desert is my favorite line of aloe juice and gel. You can get it from many different health stores, including Whole Foods. Once again, if you are looking for high quality essential oils, www.spabodyworkmarket.com is my favorite place to shop! Save 10% there when you use coupon code: LISA

Every day, I take time, to reconnect with the things in my home and in my life. I have ladies who laugh, gems that ground me, and inspirational stones on my desk while working.
Walking my dog is a daily reminder that: every day is a new day, that the world continues to look new if you just continue to look at it, that the sun is shining, and that we are alive!
When was the last time you looked at the things in your home and in your life? You have put them there for a reason. Take time each day to reconnect. You may just laugh, feel grounded, feel inspired, and feel alive.

It is January. This means many of you have made resolutions to work out. How many of you have made the time to stretch your worked body?
If you missed the segment today, you missed some stretching demos and explanations. It is difficult to share stretches with you via text (without pictures and videos). My suggestion is this: find a yoga studio. Yoga studios and instuctors I enjoy:
SWIHA, Tempe-Anita Farrah
Metta Community Yoga, Phoenix-Amber
Inner Vision, Chandler-Patricia and Josh
Note: I am no longer teaching at Yoga Dosha. Since I have left, Yoga Dosha is changing ownership. I do not know the new owners. If the instructors remain the same, I do love Heather, Melissa, Anita, and several others. Best of luck to them. Namaste'

If you enjoyed any of the gifts that were made on 3TV today, know that they are extremely easy to do yourself...and...they are low-cost!
Pine spritzer: In a two ounce glass bottle with spritzer top, add 30 drops of pine essential oil and purified water. This will help the person who receives the gift breathe easier, spray their home to protect it from seasonal viruses, and allow their home to smell like a real Christmas tree.
Cinnamon, orange, and ginger inhalant: This salt inhalant blend will warm your gift receivers insides, settle their upset stomach, and allow them to experience great joy in their holidays. Just add some dead sea salt to a 1/2 ounce glass bottle (about 1/2 way). Add 8 drops of orange essential oil, 1 drop ginger essential oil, and 1 drop cinnamon essential oil.
Spearmint and peppermint body lotion: In a heavy plastic lotion bottle, combine unscented lotion with spearmint and peppermint essential oils. Add 10 drops of essential oil per 1 ounce of essential oil. For example, if you have a 4 ounce lotion bottle, you want to add 20 drops of spearmint, and 20 drops of peppermint, creating 40 drops total. This wonderul, uplifting lotion will help fight fatigue, colds, flus, fevers, headache, and stomach aches! Shouldn't everyone be gifted this at the holidays!
If you are looking to gift your friends and family through aromatherapy, but just don't know where or how to begin, schedule a private aromatherapy party! Lisa is booking up fast! Contact her today!

Traveling for the holiday? Here are three simple ways to prevent yourself from getting sick. One, keep your body circulating. Stretch in your tiny airline seat. Sit up, with a nice, straight spine, roll your shoulders onto your back, grasp your knees gently with your fingertips, and inhale lifting the chin toward the ceiling, really stretching through the spine, and exhale tucking the chin into the chest, rounding through the spine. Continue this several times. And do this more than once throughout your time on the plane.
Another simple tip is to create a lotion that will help build the immune system, with fighting off other bacteria and viruses. In a 2 ounce lotion bottle, place 10 drops of tea tree essential oil (immune buiding, bacteria and virus fighting), 10 drops of eucalyptus essential oil (opens the lungs and sinuses), and 3 drops lavender essential oil (fights colds and flues while calming and relaxing you). Tap the bottle 100 times to your palm (blend it together), and add the lotion. Blend with another 100 taps and put it in your suitcase.
The last and truly valuable suggestion is drink an Emergen-C on the plane! This will help keep your immune system strong while breathing in recycled air. There are 1,000 mg of vitamin C in each packet! This simple drink can save you!
Enjoy the season and the time you share with family and friends. Please note that high quality essential oils are just a click away! You can get all the supplies you need for your lotion from www.spabodyworkmarket.com. You can click here or click on the heading. Remember: upon checking out...use coupon code Lisa. This will save you 10% on your first purchase, and continue to reward you in the future. Thanks for watching!

Not just a foot treatment, sit back and relax. The Aqua Detox system produces a frequency of positive and negative ions, which gently resonates through the body and stimulates the cells within it. This has the effect of rebalancing and cellular energy, enabling the cells to perform effectively and to release toxins that may have built up.
Simply put, enjoy a reflexology massage before emerging into healing waters. The Aqua Foot Detox will do the work.

Want to learn to do a cooling mud treatment at home? It's simple! Start out with a mud from a reputable company. I use Best of Nature's Dead Sea Mud.
Step 1 dry brush the entire body. Use small strokes up toward the heart. If you do not have a dry brush, you can get one at Ulta stores and anywhere else that has a body care section. If you do not want to purchase a brush, and you have a salt scrub you want to use, just use your salt scrub before applying the next two steps.
Step 2 apply a carrier oil to the entire body. My favorite is grapeseed oil. However, in the dry heat of summer (although it has been very humid!), I use olive oil.
Step 3 apply mud to the entire exterior of the body (minus the face). Let dry for up to 20 minutes or until it begins cracking and feels itchy.
Your skin will feel softer, smoother, tightened, and toned immediately! To order Best of Nature's Dead Sea Mud, go to www.spabodyworkmarket.com. Upon checking out, use coupon code Lisa. This way they know I (and 3TV sent you) and you will receive your 10% off. Thanks for watching.
